FOCUS INFRASTRUCTURE FOR TEAMS

Tap the card. The distractions go away.

A physical card for your team. Tap it with your phone, and the sites and apps you've chosen go dark — on the laptop and the phone, at the same time — until the session ends.

HOW IT WORKS

Three seconds to start. Nothing to remember.

01

Choose what to block

set once

Pick the sites and apps that pull you off track. Change it whenever you like — most people set it once and forget it.

02

Tap the card

Two seconds. No app to open, nothing to configure on the day. 25 minutes with a break, an hour straight, or until you tap again.

03

It goes quiet

The apps and sites you chose stop opening — laptop and phone, same moment. Calls and messages still work.

YOUR TEAM ISN'T THE PROBLEM

Your team isn't the problem.

The average knowledge worker checks something every few minutes, and it isn't a discipline problem — the apps doing the interrupting are built by people whose entire job is to interrupt them well.

RESEARCH

We didn't invent the idea. We read the research first.

Four studies on blocking distractions at work. None of them tested MIRA — they tested the mechanism MIRA is built on.

Carnegie Mellon

A randomised field experiment found that when distracting sites were blocked externally, people completed about eight more tasks per hour. Self-chosen blocking rules showed no improvement.

Microsoft

Blocking software significantly increased focus duration across 32 information workers. The same study found people with less self-control skipped breaks and got more stressed.

PNASNexus

A preregistered trial with 467 participants found two weeks without mobile internet improved sustained attention by roughly the amount researchers associate with ten years of age-related decline.

The adherence problem

In that same trial, only 119 of 467 people kept the block running for ten days. Blocking isn't the hard part — sticking with it is.

Questions

Is this employee monitoring?

No — and every session gives you the choice that keeps it that way. Mark a session Work and it contributes to your admin's aggregate stats and a per-member focus-hours view. Mark it Personal and it's invisible to your employer, individually or in aggregate — no site list, no activity log, ever.

Is this like Screen Time or Freedom?

Same idea, different mechanism. Screen Time and Freedom are self-managed — you can turn them off in the moment, and research shows most people do. MIRA's card makes ending a session cost one of a small number of monthly exits, not a free toggle, and Focus Blocks let an admin set policy in advance the way the research condition that actually worked did.

What if someone needs a blocked app?

A limited number of emergency exits reset every month. Enough for a real need, not enough to make blocking optional in practice.

Does it block the laptop or just the phone?

Both, from one tap. Mac, Windows, iOS and Android are all covered, plus Chrome — the laptop and the phone go dark at the same moment.

Do we need IT to install it?

No. Each card ships ready to tap. Employees install the app themselves and sign in with the email their admin invited — no MDM project required.

What if it doesn't work for us?

Full refund within 30 days, no questions asked. Send the cards back and we'll process it.

Put one on every desk.

Everything included. No subscription, ever.
